After reaching the Wind Gate Reef, with the magical wreck of the Italian ship Umbria, we will sail on to the waters surrounding Sanganeb lighthouse, which are inhabited by large grey sharks and enormous schools of barracuda, Carangidae and hammer sharks. Next stop will be Sha’ab Rumi, close to the pass where, in 1964, Cousteau created his laboratory. We will then sail around the south cape of Sha’ab Rumi, where we’ll be able to approach schools of grey sharks, hammer sharks and resident barracudas. Further north, we will reach the Sha’ab Suadi reef, with the shipwreck of the Blue Belle inside which swim gigantic tropical bass.
From Quita El Banna, we will reach the island of Sha'ab Baya, where we will visit the Merlo reef, the stony coral culminating in the madreporic pinnacle of Anga Rosh (the ‘mother of sharks’, so known because there are scores of every species), as well as the temple of manta rays. During the return trip, we will call by the reefs surrounding Marsha Fijab, where hundreds of dolphins will come to swim alongside our boat.
