Villa Stella
From a long friendship between an Italian and a Maldivian came the idea of building a small villa with all comforts on the island of Ribudhoo which could give a truly unique experience to those who love the most authentic side of the Maldives.
Villa Stella is not a tourist facility, but a private villa on an island inhabited by local people which can only be accessed by invitation from the owner and permission by the Maldivian authorities.
Situated close to the sea, Villa Stella is surrounded by lush vegetation. It includes a spacious, airy veranda, a small private garden, a pleasantly furnished guest bedroom with independent entrance, air conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, private bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower. A third and fourth bed may be added.
The island of Ribudhoo can be reached by sea plane; it is known as the jewellers’ island and is situated north of the atoll of Dhaalu. A local boat is always at the guests’ disposal for excursions and private picnics, snorkelling and fishing expeditions. Every day the villa’s guests can enjoy the splendid island of Doores, only 5 minutes by boat from Ribudhoo. Villa Stella’s kitchen offers local and Italian dishes and is personally supervised by the island’s owner, who is a well-known Maldivian chef.
